Self Care Tools

My clients know that I believe in Self Care. I like to give techniques and tools that can be used at home to keep your body comfortable and pain free. Self care also can help injuries to heal faster and with less scar tissue and adhesions.

Here are some Self Care Tools that you can use at home. Stay tuned or email me for instructions.

1) High bounce Pinky balls. Buy 2. Available at Baker’s Pharmacy in Shelburne Falls.  $3 for 2 balls.

2) Due North Foot Rubz Foot Hand and Back Massage Balls. About $7.  The green hard nubby balls are great for feet and helpful for plantar fasciitis. They make other tools as well. Buy online.

3) Massage Tools.    Theracane or Backknobber and other massage tools are available online. They are hook shaped or S shaped massage tools that are very effective for use on the shoulders, back and hips.  I use mine every day! They cost in a $13-30 range. Here are several to check out on Amazon:

4) The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies & Davies  is a great reference book. About $19.   Very clear presentation and instruction for using your hands and some of the tools listed above to work on your own trigger points. Highly recommended.
